Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Remote IDE mobile application and website (the “Service”) operated by Remote IDE (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Remote IDE provides a cloud-based development environment accessible from mobile devices. The Service includes:

  • Cloud virtual machine workspaces
  • AI coding agent integrations
  • No-code builder integrations
  • Terminal access, Git integration, and file management
  • Port forwarding and session management

Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Host or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Perform cryptocurrency mining
  • Launch attacks against other systems or networks
  • Store or transmit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

  • Your content: You retain all rights to code, files, and other content you create using the Service.
  • Our Service: The Service, including its design, features, and documentation, is owned by Remote IDE and protected by intellectual property laws.

Cloud Workspaces

  • Workspaces are provisioned on shared cloud infrastructure
  • We do not guarantee specific uptime or availability of workspaces
  • Workspace resources (CPU, memory, storage) are subject to fair-use limits
  • We may suspend idle workspaces to conserve resources

Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms (GitHub, AI providers, no-code builders). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Infrastructure issues
  • Force majeure events

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remote IDE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
  • Upon termination, your workspaces and associated data will be deleted

Billing and Subscriptions

Remote IDE currently offers a free tier. Paid plans (Pro and above) will be available in the future.

When paid plans are introduced:

  • Billing cycle: Subscriptions will be billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Free trial: If a free trial is offered, you will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it expires.
  • Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increases. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for at least one billing cycle.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled according to the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store through which you subscribed.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Remote IDE. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

AI-Generated Content

Remote IDE integrates third-party AI services (including but not limited to Claude, GPT, and other ACP-compatible agents). Regarding AI-generated content:

  • Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and using any code or content generated by AI agents within your workspace.
  • No guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, security, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of AI-generated content.
  • Third-party terms: Your use of AI agents is also subject to the terms of the respective AI service providers.
  • Intellectual property: Ownership of AI-generated content is governed by the terms of the AI service provider that generated it. Remote IDE does not claim ownership of content generated by third-party AI services in your workspace.

Data Deletion

Upon termination of your account or at your request:

  • Your cloud workspaces and all associated data (code, files, configurations) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • Your account information will be removed from our active systems within 30 days.
  • Backup copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being automatically purged.
  • Anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Remote IDE operates.
